1Definitions & store identity

Who we are, and what the words in these terms mean.

1.1 “Pinglo”, the “Store” or “we”: the business that owns the online store pinglo-sim.com, identified below. “Customer” or “you”: anyone who browses or buys from the Store. “eSIM”: a digital data SIM delivered as a QR code and a manual activation code. “Plan”: the data amount or number of days bought. “Top-up”: data or days added to an existing eSIM.

1.2 In line with the E-Commerce Law, our official business details are shown here and in the “About Pinglo” window at the foot of every page:

2Scope & acceptance

Completing payment means you accept these terms — a legally valid electronic acceptance.

2.1 These terms govern your use of the Store and every purchase or top-up made through it, read together with the Privacy Policy and the plan details shown on the product page at the time of purchase.

2.2 Pressing the pay button and completing the transaction is your express acceptance of these terms and forms a binding electronic contract under the Electronic Transactions Law.

2.3 You must be at least 18 with legal capacity to contract, or buy under a guardian's supervision.

2.4 You confirm the details you enter (name, email, mobile) are correct and current. Email is how your eSIM is delivered; we aren't responsible for the consequences of a mistyped address.

3The service

Internet over partner Japanese networks, with speeds affected by coverage and congestion like any mobile network.

3.1 We sell data-only eSIMs for use inside Japan. The eSIM has no phone number and doesn't support regular calls or SMS; internet calling apps work.

3.2 Service runs on Japanese networks through licensed providers (such as NTT docomo, KDDI au and SoftBank, depending on the plan). Pinglo resells the service and does not operate the network.

3.3 Plans count data differently: “Flex” is a fixed amount at full speed until it runs out or expires; the daily plans (“Go”, “Plus”, “Max”) give a daily high-speed allowance, then continue at a reduced speed until it renews. Each plan's exact figures are on its page and form part of these terms.

3.4 Some plans connect through an IP address outside Japan (such as Singapore), so some apps may show that country's content or settings. This is normal technical behaviour, not a fault.

3.5 Stated speeds are theoretical maximums or target levels and depend on coverage, buildings, tunnels, rural areas and congestion. We don't guarantee a particular speed or coverage in every location.

4Device compatibility

Making sure your phone supports eSIM and is unlocked is your responsibility — we give you a free tool for it.

4.1 The eSIM only works on devices that support eSIM and are carrier-unlocked. Some devices sold in certain markets (such as some iPhones from mainland China) don't support eSIM.

4.2 Our “Check my phone” tool is guidance based on the model you choose; the final check in your device's settings is your responsibility.

4.3 If your device turns out to be incompatible before you install the eSIM, you get a full refund under clause 9.2. After installation, clause 9 applies.

5Orders, prices & payment

You see the final price in SAR before paying, and pay through a secure Saudi platform.

5.1 Base prices are in Saudi riyals; other Gulf currencies are shown at an approximate rate for guidance only. You are charged in SAR, and your bank may add currency-conversion fees outside our control.

5.2 The final total, including VAT where applicable, is shown before you confirm payment, and an electronic invoice is emailed to you afterwards.

5.3 Payments are processed by Techrar, a Saudi payments platform, using the methods shown at checkout. The Store never sees or stores your card details. Buy-now-pay-later services, where offered, are also subject to their provider's terms.

5.4 Discount codes follow the conditions published with them (period, number of uses, eligible plans), have no cash value, and can't be combined in one order unless stated.

5.5 If a clearly wrong price appears due to a technical error, we'll contact you before issuing the eSIM to confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it with a full refund.

5.6 We may refuse or cancel any order suspected of fraud or breaking the law, refunding the full amount to the original payment method unless a law or competent authority prevents it.

6Delivery

Your QR code arrives by email and on your order page, usually within minutes.

6.1 The eSIM is delivered electronically to your email and your order page, usually within minutes of payment. Rarely, issuing may be delayed by a technical issue at the provider; we'll let you know.

6.2 If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder, open your order page, or file a report.

6.3 Keep the QR and activation code safe. Delivery is complete once they reach your email or appear on your order page. We aren't responsible for use by others if you share them.

7Installation, activation & validity

Install within 180 days; the clock starts on your first connection in Japan; unused allowance doesn't carry over.

7.1 The eSIM must be installed within 180 days of purchase, or it may expire unused.

7.2 The plan period starts on the eSIM's first connection to a Japanese network, not at purchase or installation. We recommend installing before you travel, on Wi-Fi.

7.3 For the eSIM to work, Data Roaming must be on for the Pinglo line and the line selected for cellular data, as described in the instructions we send.

7.4 A plan ends when its period ends or, for fixed plans, when its data runs out — whichever comes first. Unused data and days don't carry over and aren't refunded.

8Top-ups & extensions

Top up the same eSIM from your order page — added instantly, no new QR code.

8.1 An existing eSIM can be topped up with data or days from the order page while it hasn't expired or been cancelled.

8.2 A top-up is applied to the same eSIM as soon as payment is confirmed. As a digital service delivered immediately, it can't be refunded once applied — if it can't be applied, you're refunded in full.

9Cancellations & refunds

Before installing: full refund within 7 days. After installing: refunds only for a technical fault on our side.

9.1 Failed issue: if you paid and the eSIM couldn't be issued, we refund the full amount to the original payment method without you having to ask.

9.2 Right of withdrawal: you may cancel and get a full refund within 7 days of purchase, provided the QR code hasn't been scanned and the eSIM hasn't been installed on any device. We verify the eSIM's status with the provider; once cancelled, the eSIM is permanently void.

9.3 After installation: installing the eSIM starts a digital service that can't be returned, so the right of withdrawal no longer applies, in line with the exceptions the E-Commerce Law and its Implementing Regulations set for digital content and services.

9.4 Technical fault: if the eSIM doesn't work because of a fault on our or our provider's side, despite you following the activation instructions and working with our support team, we'll provide a replacement eSIM or refund you in full or in proportion to the unused part, depending on the case.

9.5 Duplicate charge: if you were charged more than once for the same order, we refund the extra amount in full.

9.6 No refund after installation for:

  • An incompatible or carrier-locked device.
  • Deleting the eSIM, resetting the device, or changing devices.
  • Not turning on Data Roaming or not following the activation instructions.
  • Unused data or days, or reduced speed after the daily allowance as described in the plan.
  • Weak coverage at a particular location, or restrictions apps or websites place on IP addresses.
  • Sharing the QR code with others, or breaching the acceptable-use clause.

9.7 How to request: through File a report on the site or at [email protected], with your order number and the email used. We reply within 3 business days at most.

9.8 Refund timing: refunds go back to the original payment method within 14 days of approval; it may take longer to appear in your account depending on your bank or payment provider.

10Acceptable use

The eSIM is for your own lawful use — not for resale or anything unlawful.

10.1 You agree to use the service personally, lawfully, and in line with the laws of Saudi Arabia and Japan.

10.2 You may not resell or rent eSIMs without our written approval, use them for spam, fraud, hacking or any harmful or unlawful activity, or tamper with the eSIM or try to get around plan limits.

10.3 If a breach is proven, we or the network provider may suspend the eSIM without refund, and we reserve the right to take legal action.

11Deleted eSIM or lost device

The eSIM is tied to one device — don't delete it before your trip ends.

11.1 An eSIM is usually tied to the device it was installed on and may not be reinstallable after deletion or on another device.

11.2 If it's deleted or you change devices, we may issue a replacement at our discretion and subject to the provider, possibly for a fee we'll tell you about first.

11.3 We aren't responsible for a lost, stolen or damaged device, or for use of the eSIM by others in that event.

12Support

Arabic-speaking support by report and email, urgent cases first.

12.1 We provide support through the “File a report” window and by email. We aim to reply as quickly as possible and prioritise urgent reports (such as no connection after arrival).

12.2 We may ask for information or screenshots of your device settings to diagnose a problem; your cooperation is a condition for handling technical-fault claims and related refunds.

13Limitation of liability

Our liability is capped at your order's value — without affecting your statutory consumer rights.

13.1 We aren't liable for outages or restrictions imposed by network operators or government authorities, or for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profit or a missed booking or appointment.

13.2 We aren't in breach if we can't perform because of force majeure beyond our control, such as natural disasters, widespread network failures or government decisions.

13.3 In all cases, our total liability won't exceed the amount you paid for the order in question.

13.4 Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Saudi law that can't be waived.

14Personal data

We collect only what your order needs and protect it under the Personal Data Protection Law.

14.1 We process your data under Saudi Arabia's Personal Data Protection Law, collecting only what's needed to fulfil your order: name, email, mobile number and order details, plus your device model if you use the phone checker.

14.2 We share data only as far as needed with our payment provider, eSIM provider, email provider and anti-fraud services, and never sell it.

14.3 The site uses your browser's local storage to remember your cart, language, currency and phone-check result, and a security check to block automated requests.

14.4 You can ask to access, correct or delete your data by contacting us, subject to legal duties to keep invoice and transaction records. The Privacy Policy gives details.

15Electronic communications

We email you about your order; marketing only with your consent.

15.1 You agree to receive order-related emails (delivery, invoice, usage and validity alerts, replies to reports); these communications are valid as evidence.

15.2 We only send marketing messages with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

16Intellectual property

The Pinglo name, logo, site design and content are ours.

16.1 All marks, logos, designs, text, graphics and icons on the Store are owned by or licensed to Pinglo and may not be copied or used commercially without written permission. Carrier names mentioned are trademarks of their owners.

17Changes to these terms

If we change the terms, your order stays under the version you bought with.

17.1 We may update these terms from time to time; the version number and effective date are shown at the top of the page.

17.2 Each order is governed by the version in force when it was placed; changes don't apply retroactively.

18Governing law & disputes

Saudi law applies, and we always start with an amicable solution.

18.1 These terms are governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the E-Commerce Law and its Implementing Regulations, the Electronic Transactions Law and the Personal Data Protection Law.

18.2 We aim to settle any dispute amicably within 15 days of being notified. You may in any case file a complaint with the Ministry of Commerce through its official channels.

18.3 If no amicable solution is reached, the competent courts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have jurisdiction.

18.4 The Arabic text of these terms is the governing version in case of any difference with this English translation.
